The grapes: 100% Marzemino

The vineyard: Cultivated in Trentino pergola, it covers a company area of 4 hectares. It loves soils deriving from the degradation of tuffs, basalt rocks and rich in manganese. The age of the vines is 7 and 34 years. The production of grapes per hectare is 90q.

The vinification:

The grapes harvested in the first ten days of October, at the right degree of ripeness, are traditionally vinified in “red” with six days of maceration and frequent pumping over.

Alcoholic fermentation, after adding selected yeasts, takes place at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C.

The maturation:

After racking, the wine completes the malolactic fermentation and is refined for six months, always in stainless steel tanks.

The wine:

It has a ruby red color with amaranth reflections; to the nose it is typically delicate, pleasant with its characteristic floral reminiscent of violet; to the taste it is sapid, full, and slightly tending to bitter in the finish.

Serving temperature: 16 ° C

The Marzemino gentile is a vine that has found the ideal habitat on the basaltic soils of the lower Trentino. Ricardato in Mozart's “Don Giovanni”, is the typical wine of Vallagarina in which the gentleness of the perfume and the aromatic taste tending towards bitterness harmonize in a suggestive way. The DOC Marzemino is guaranteed by a special Consortium to protect the product.
